John Michie’s thoughts on my album THE SYNESTHETE
Joe’s new album is a journey through classic rock ‘n’ roll, electronic dance music, introspective ballads, and nostalgic trip back to the 1970s stopping off at a few places along the way in the DeLorean. With versatile production skills, Joe merges different genres to create something confident and engaging. The album showcases outstanding performances from everyone involved. The standouts for me though are “The Crows” and “We Hear The Colours.”
“An album which ebbs and flows every which way but delivers a wonderfully diverse experience. ”
“So who’s Joe Adhemar? Well, he’s a producer, singer songwriter and remixer from London. He came on my radar via a small community of indie musicians on fresh on the net and on twitter, and the more I hear from him, the more I like him. ”

I really enjoyed this interview late November 2021
“Lyrically and musically it’s hard to find a record like this with such an amazing mix of tracks a real quality street of an album. I’m a big Supertramp fan and that sound is in there in places. Off and on and A Broken Bond clearly stand out straight away. It’s Indie Kid at Heart that had me hitting repeat though. Quality songwriting and so easy to let it wash through the headphones. Favorite track: Indie Kid at Heart.”
“This is a mighty fine album by Joe. Obviously, the pun in the title hints at someone who is going to use their wit and charm through his lyrics.
Joe doesn’t disappoint in this regard, from the opening salvo, through to the beauty of ‘Dopamine Girl’, and beyond ‘Off and On’.
This album is a wonderfully strong piece of work, musically and technically, whilst pulling in Joe’s known influences and rendering them anew. Favorite track: Off and On.”
“I’ve just laid in bed with a cuppa, giving this (Existential Dreadlocks) my full attention through my headphones. Congratulations. It’s amazing. Quite a sonic journey and those comparisons to Peter Gabriel, Elbow and Talk Talk are fully deserved”
“A strong collection of songs from a brilliant songwriter. Always interesting lyrics, topics, sounds and production. My favourite album by the talented Joe Adhemar. Favorite track: A Broken Bond.”
